Poetry, Poetry (English), SpeakYourHeart

The Old Road

The memories bring you back to my road

And I keep you there no more

But I  wave them hi with a blink of an eye

And let them walk with me to the shore

As they speak to me amid the noisy waves

the stories of the past they knew

I hear it all like a patient friend

And speak to them like I speak to few

Then I take them through my side of the story

For I believe they’ll  treat me kind and fair

You see I was right, we are back as friends

To the same old road but without third share…
